A family home folded into a chalk hillside, with white walls that catch the changing light.
The house is arranged as a sequence of white volumes stepping down the slope, each one turned slightly to frame a different view of the downs.
Thick walls and deep reveals keep rooms cool in summer and calm all year round. Inside, a single limewashed finish lets light do the decorating.
